The event kicks off with an informative presentation by Public Health Madison & Dane County, who will help break down some of the myths about menstruation. After the presentation, attendees can make their own zine with local artist and doula Ashley Hartman Annis, stock and decorate a period “go bag” with free products provided by Public Health, talk to folks from The Foundation for Black Women’s Wellness, learn about water safety and proper disposal of menstrual products from our District’s fun photo booth, and indulge in some “period craving” snacks.
